How is interlining made?
The manufacturing process of interlining varies according to the material and purpose, but usually includes the following key steps:
- Material selection: Select appropriate raw materials according to the needs of interlining, such as cotton, linen, animal hair or chemical fiber.
- Processing: Perform necessary processing on the raw materials. For example, linen interlining may need to be immersed in resin glue to enhance stiffness and elasticity; resin interlining is made by resin glue impregnation.
- Weaving: Weave the treated materials according to the prescribed organization method to form plain weave, twill and other fabric structures.
- Post-processing: Post-process the woven interlining, such as shrinking and shaping, to ensure that its size is stable and not easy to deform.
Different types of interlining, such as bonded interlining, semi-wool interlining, full wool interlining, etc., may also involve special processing processes such as coating and bonding during the manufacturing process.
